International Girls Day
Celebrate International Girls Day on or around November 14.
Media messages, cultural stereotypes and peers often tell girls that they have to look, act and be a certain way. Created by Kappa Delta Sorority, International Girls Day is a day to celebrate girls – all kinds of girls with all kinds of interests and abilities. It’s an opportunity to build confidence in girls and help them realize their potential.
Kappa Delta chapters and women around the world celebrate this special holiday each year.

Who is today’s girl? She’s tomorrow’s leader. She’s president of her senior class and future president of the USA. She’s the up-and-coming CEO of a Fortune 500 company and the brains behind the next breakthrough in medical science. She’s a future gold medal Olympic athlete, an inventor, an entrepreneur, a philosopher. She is impacting her community – today and into the future. Girls can do anything!
With the slogan, “She Can Do Anything,” International Girls Day November 14 is a day to celebrate girls – all kinds of girls with all kinds of interests and abilities. It’s an opportunity to build confidence in girls and help them realize their potential. This day of celebration was created by Kappa Delta in 2010 and is celebrated each year on November 14.
Here at Texas A&M Kappa Delta we hold an annual International Girls Day event. This event is open to all girls of any ages that want to come have fun, celebrate being a girl, and engage in the “She Can Do Anything” attitude! We have a confidence building speaker, fun activity stations, a photo booth, raffles, and so much more.
