About Us

About Kappa Delta

In 1897, four young women at State Female Normal School of Virginia (now Longwood University) joined together with a common vision — to create something “higher and nobler,” an organization that would empower women through friendship and high ideals. Over 125 years later, the sorority continues to live the dream of its founders by providing a lifelong experience for our members through support and sisterhood.

The Kappa Delta experience offers members the chance to leave their mark on the future and impact the lives of members and those in need around the world. Contributions to the Kappa Delta Foundation from alumnae, collegians and friends enable the sorority to further its philanthropic efforts, local community outreach programs, as well as scholarships and educational opportunities for members.

We have chosen to become Kappa Deltas because we believe that, in some way, all of us can be better together than each of us can be alone. That is the strength of Kappa Delta. Learn more about Kappa Delta Sorority and the Kappa Delta Foundation by visiting our national organization’s website.

About Eta Alpha

The Eta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Delta was founded on November 20th, 1999 here at Texas A&M University! Since establishment, the Eta Alpha Chapter has grown and blossomed, providing a home for over 1,200 women over the past 24 years. Our beautiful house, coined ‘The Kastle,’ is located on University Oaks Blvd and provides a living space for 46 members of our chapter, but also a home away from home for all of our actives and alumni! When our members are not at fun events like date parties and sisterhood events, you can frequently find them involved on campus with organizations like Fish Camp, Impact Retreat, Big Event, Freshman Leadership Organizations, and Professional Organizations. Through the actions of our amazing members, Eta Alpha has been defined on campus and nationally to be intentional, involved, confident, and loyal to everyone we meet! To know a KD is to love a KD and we cannot wait to meet you!
